Murder charges for Joplin man after fatal tractor accident

A 28-year-old man from Joplin now charged with second-degree murder after a fatal tractor accident claimed the life of 35-year-old Justin Workman, also of Joplin. Kendall Crosswhite and Workman were on a John Deere tractor on a county road in Lawrence County around 2:30 AM Tuesday morning when they went off a bridge. Workman was pronounced dead at the scene after being trapped under the vehicle. Crosswhite was flown to a Springfield hospital with serious injuries. It's unknown who was driving the tractor at the time but Crosswhite is now facing a receiving stolen property charge as well. Law enforcement says the tractor was stolen out of Kansas.
