Former MO legislator in trouble with campaign finances - again

A former Missouri legislator who’s running for Ferguson mayor has been fined again for allegedly breaking campaign donation laws.

The Missouri Ethics Commission has fined Courtney Allen Curtis, previously a Democratic State Representative, more than $77,000 for allegedly using campaign money on trips to the spa, concerts and other personal items. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch says Curtis also failed to report 10 other donations. The fine could be waived if Curtis pays about $7,700 and agrees to not break the law for another two years.

Last year, the Missouri Supreme Court blocked Curtis from running for the State Senate due to another campaign finance snag.
