Montz sentenced in connection with road rage incident

What can road rage get you?

It's getting Christopher Montz of Neosho a 15 year sentence after a plea deal in Jasper County Circuit Court.

Montz said he shot and killed 27-year-old David Reynolds of Carthage back in 2018.

Montz was originally charged with first-degree murder. As part of the plea arrangement, he pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter.

Police said Montz claimed to be traveling to visit his mother who was in the hospital at the time of the incident, which took place near the I-44- Highway 249 interchange.
