Comment period opens for proposed JATSO Transportation Improvement Plan amendment

The Joplin Area Transportation Study Organization (JATSO) will include a seven-day public comment period for the sixth amendment to the 2018 through 2021 Transportation Improvement Plan (TIP).

The public comment period begins at 8 a.m. on March 5 and ends at 5 p.m. on March 11.

Individuals may make comments for consideration for any portion of the TIP Amendment. JATSO serves as the transportation planning agency for the Joplin metropolitan area, as designated by the Federal government.

Submit comments no later than 5 p.m., on Monday, March 1 to: Edward Whitmore, Joplin City Hall, 602 S. Main Street, Joplin, MO 64801 or send via telephone at 417-624-0820, ext. 1511. Direct FAXed comments to Whitmore at 417-625-4738 and/or send emails to  ewhitmor@joplinmo.org . Interested parties may obtain copies of the proposed TIP Amendment and the UPWP at: Joplin City Hall, 4th floor, 602 S. Main St.; City Hall in Webb City, 200 S.
