Vernon County accident kills Peculiar, Missouri woman

A crash on I-49 at Route TT in Vernon County just after midnight on Wednesday has taken the life of a 31-year-old Peculiar, Missouri woman.

The accident occurred when a car driven by 38-year-old Dustin Wickham of Osceola traveled off the left side of the roadway, struck a culvert, became airborne, and overturned.

A passenger in the vehicle, 31-year-old Erin Hudson of Peculiar was ejected from the vehicle.

Hudson was pronounced dead by Vernon County Deputy Coroner Keith Ballentine.

Wickam suffered serious injuries.He was transferred by ambulance to Research Medical Center in Kansas City.
