Pittsburg Shooting Suspect Captured in Texas

A Pittsburg man is behind bars after a multi-day search by authorities. 34-year-old Eric James Cravey was taken into custody in Hill County, Texas early Wednesday morning. He is being held on a warrant issued for attempted murder and will face extradition proceedings in the coming days. He allegedly shot 37-year-old Vanessa McWhirt-Martin Saturday afternoon. She remains in critical condition at KU Medical Center in Kansas City.
