There are four ways to hear KZRG on traditional radio:

102.5 HD-2 (requires HD Radio receiver)
HD Radio Technology
The 102.5 HD-2 option requires an HD Radio receiver and provides signal coverage of around 60 miles from Joplin. If you live in Neosho, Pittsburg, Sarcoxie, Goodman, Miami, Girard, Arma, Lamar, Vinita, Granby, McCune, or Grove, the 102.5 HD-2 signal works best to receive KZRG.
What is HD Radio? HD Radio represents the next generation in AM and FM broadcast technology. It's a pure digital transmission medium that greatly improves sound quality, virtually eliminates static, hiss, pops, and fades, and opens up opportunities for multicasting multiple high-quality channels on each frequency.
Benefits of HD Radio:
AM broadcasts sound as good as today's FM stereo broadcasts
FM broadcasts sound like CDs
Digital signal is less vulnerable to reception problems
Multipath distortion caused by signal reflection is completely removed
Automatic fallback to analog mode if digital signal is lost

Reception Issues?
Occasionally we receive reports of poor reception, bad sounding audio, and interference from the FM signals on 102.9 and 105.9. This often happens in summer and is usually the result of something called "ducting" - atmospheric layering caused by temperature, dew point, and pressure that creates a "duct" for radio signal propagation. The interference time period is typically short, lasting an hour or two, and happens only a few days per year. For a more technical explanation, visit this resource.
