Biography
Steve Womack, born in 1957, is the incumbent U.S. Representative for Arkansas's 3rd Congressional District, a position he has held since 2011. A Republican, Womack previously served as the mayor of Rogers, Arkansas from 1999 to 2010. He is a retired Colonel in the Arkansas Army National Guard, having served for over 30 years.
In Congress, Womack is known for his perfect voting record, never missing a vote since taking office. He currently serves on the House Appropriations Committee, chairing the Transportation, Housing and Urban Development Subcommittee. Womack is a fiscal conservative, supporting tax cuts and budgetary discipline.
Womack is running for re-election in 2024, having advanced from the Republican primary on March 5, 2024.
