Biography
My qualifications to serve as Missouri State Auditor include having served as Director of the Missouri Department of Revenue, Governor's Cabinet Director, Deputy Director Economic of Development, State Commissioner of Higher Education and as an aide to three Missouri Congressmen.
During my time in state government, we achieved a #1 ranking in government performance. Since then, the state has fallen to 31st nationally in a U.S. News Best States assessment and now faces a $1.7 billion budget deficit. We've got to return to that previous level of performance and stay there. I can help Missouri achieve that. I have a plan to help state and local government get more efficient and effective results. I know we can do better because I was part of making it work before. That's why I am running for Missouri State Auditor.
