Mitch Boggs

Mitch Boggs is the incumbent Republican representative for Missouri's 157th House District, seeking re-election in 2024. Born and raised in Lawrence County, Boggs has deep roots in the area he represents. He first assumed office on January 6, 2021, after winning his seat unanimously.

Boggs brings a diverse background to his role, having worked as a general contractor, farmer, and owner of a construction business. He currently resides in La Russell with his wife Lynn, and they have eight children and nine grandchildren.

In the legislature, Boggs serves on several committees, including the Budget Committee and as Vice-Chairman of the Subcommittee on Appropriations - Agriculture, Conservation, Natural Resources, and Economic Development. His sponsored bills reflect conservative priorities, including measures to protect landowners' rights, establish covenant marriages, and increase election transparency. Boggs has also shown support for former President Donald Trump, noting that an alleged assassination attempt unified the GOP at a recent convention.
