Mike McCaffree

My name is Mike McCaffree and I am running as the Democratic candidate for Missouri Senate District 28. I have been a Realtor in Nevada since 1996 and I've served as a school board member in Nevada for the past 17 years. My wife and I are past Presidents of the Nevada Neptune swim team and All Saints Episcopal Church in Nevada. I also have been active in Rotary since the early 2000's.

Public schools are my top priority. Missouri ranks 49th in the country in teacher pay and I think we can do better for our teachers. Hospitals and healthcare are another priority. The small town hospitals in my district face severe Medicaid cuts starting next year and I want to work with them to do everything possible to help them. Housing is another big issue.  As a Realtor I've seen the need for more affordable housing and I believe that can be improved.
