Biography
Kenneth "Ken" Collins is the incumbent Republican candidate running for re-election as Kansas State Representative for District 2. Born and raised in Mulberry, Kansas, Collins returned to his roots after years away. He holds a bachelor's degree from Friends University and an associate degree from Fort Scott Community College.
Collins has served in the Kansas House of Representatives since 2019. His background includes service in the U.S. Air Force and Kansas Army National Guard, as well as work experience at American Telephone & Telegraph.
In the legislature, Collins serves on several committees, including Veterans and Military, Local Government, Transportation, Elections, and Insurance. He has sponsored bills focused on veterans' benefits, including property tax exemptions and income tax modifications for armed forces members.
