Jim Dotson

Jim Dotson is a Republican candidate running for re-election to Arkansas State Senate District 34, representing parts of Benton County. He has served in the Arkansas State Senate since January 2023, following five terms in the Arkansas House of Representatives from 2013 to 2022. Dotson lives in Bentonville with his wife Jennifer and their three children.

A conservative Republican, Dotson champions lower taxes, reduced government regulation, and education reform. In the Senate, Dotson serves on the Education Committee and State Agencies and Governmental Affairs Committee. He has sponsored legislation on Holocaust education, career and technical education, and student free speech rights at universities.

Professionally, Dotson works as a homebuilder and realtor with Gibson Real Estate. He previously served two terms on the Bentonville City Council before entering state politics.
