David L. Barber

David L. Barber is a Democratic candidate running for Arkansas State Representative District 12 in the 2024 election. Born in Searcy, Arkansas, Barber served in the U.S. Army National Guard from 2006 to 2014. He graduated from Gravette High School and earned an associate degree from Northwest Arkansas Community College. Professionally, Barber has worked as an auctioneer and lead psychiatric technician at an inpatient psychiatric hospital.

At 36 years old, Barber describes himself as an Iraq War veteran, father, and former mental health worker. He cites his anger at Arkansas' current trajectory and desire to challenge an inherited incumbency as motivations for running.
