Seneca man charged with drug trafficking, weapons counts

A man from Seneca, Missouri is being held in the Newton County Jail, charged with drug trafficking, two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm and unlawful use of a weapon.
That follows the execution of a search warrant by the Missouri State Highway Patrol on Wednesday, December 10th.
Bond has been set at $10,000, cash or surety, for 43-year-old Terry Jo Boyer.
According to a Probable Cause Statement:
On the early morning of December 10, 2025, the Missouri State Highway Patrol executed a state issued search warrant at the premises of Terry J. Boyer, a white male, age 43, located in Missouri.
Upon execution of this search warrant, Boyer was located within his primary residence, as described in this search warrant, and was asleep in bed.
A search of Boyer’s residence resulted in the seizure of approximately 280 grams of a white and crystal substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine using a presumptive field tester, a silver and black .40 caliber Taurus semi-automatic handgun loaded with seven (7) cartridges, a Star Interarms .380 semi-automatic handgun (unloaded), .40 caliber cartridges, digital scales, distribution baggies, smoking devices, and assorted drug paraphernalia.
The firearms were located in the living room of Boyer’s residence in close proximity to the suspected methamphetamine.
Boyer is a Missouri convicted felon and prohibited from possessing firearms.
