FIFA announces countries that will compete in Kansas City during 2026 World Cup
(Missourinet) – FIFA has announced the countries coming to Kansas City, including the defending champion Argentina.
Kansas City’s visitor estimate for the 2026 FIFA World Cup is climbing after the city learned that Argentina, led by Messi, headlines a strong lineup of fan-heavy nations coming to Kansas City, including the Netherlands, Tunisia, Ecuador, Curacao and Algeria. Kansas City will host four group play-in games, plus a round of 32 match, and a quarter final match.
Tourism officials believe the original estimate of 650,000 fans visiting next summer may be too low.
