Southeast Kansas woman hit, killed by train Saturday

A woman from southeast Kansas was killed over the weekend after she was hit by a train.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says 21-year-old Angel M. Stephens, of Altoona, was walking on 7th Street in that town when she struck crossing the tracks at Commercial Street.

It is believed that Stephens did not see or hear the train before it made impact.
