Community events for 11/14 to 11/16

JOPLIN

  • The Lego Build-a-thon is scheduled for November 15, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, targeting children ages 6-12. Participants will collaborate, build, and explore creativity. Accompanying adults must attend and engage with their child, as drop-offs are not allowed.

 

  • The Mo-Kan Dragway Sunday Fun Drags on November 16, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM, is an event for racers of all levels to test setups, make grudge passes, or enjoy the thrill of the quarter-mile track. No classes or eliminations—just unlimited test and tune passes in a relaxed setting. All makes and models (cars, trucks, bikes) are welcome, with affordable entry fees for racers and spectators. Spectators are encouraged to join and enjoy the atmosphere.

WEBB CITY

  • Farmers Market – 106 East Tracy Street, Webb City, MO, open Saturdays from 9 AM to noon. 

 

CARTHAGE

  • The Maple Leaf Festival After Party, a free concert featuring The Bakbeatz, will take place on Saturday from 7 PM to 10 PM (doors open at 6 PM) at Carthage Memorial Hall, 407 S. Garrison, Carthage, MO. Food will be available for purchase pre-show and during the event, with possible donations from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Jasper & Newton Counties. Mi Arcos Beer Garden opens at 6 PM. Attendees are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item for event entry to support local families in need, benefiting Crosslines Ministry, Carthage Crisis Center, and Feeding Inc. Pre-event donations can be dropped off at the Carthage Area United Way or Carthage Chamber of Commerce. More details at www.carthagechamber.com.

 

  • Carthage Farmers Market at 714 Garrison, Carthage, MO, offers fresh in-season produce, greenhouse plants, honey, jams, jellies, baked goods, and more. It opens Wednesday and Saturday mornings starting April 5, 2025.
