Children’s Trust Fund Invests $400K to Support Missouri Kids During Government Shutdown

(Missourinet) – When a government shutdown leaves families hungry, Missouri’s Child Welfare Foundation steps up.
The Children’s Trust Fund is investing $400,000 to help Missouri families struggling with food insecurity during the federal shutdown.
The plan includes $100,000 for Feeding Missouri, to help the six regional food banks to buy baby formula and food, and $300,000 to expand the Missouri Parenting Partnership Home Visiting Program so agencies can provide essentials to families they serve.
The Children’s Trust Fund estimates that 40 percent of Missouri’s SNAP recipients are children.
