Fatal Single Vehicle Accident Galena Woman

A Galena woman is dead after she crashed her vehicle near McCord Bend south of Springfield. The 43 year old driver apparently crossed the center line of the roadway, overcorrected and overturned, ejecting her. She was pronounced at the scene. She was not wearing a seat belt. Next of kin was notified. This MSHP Troop D’s 117th fatality in 2025.
