Miami’s Annual Christmas Parade is “Cruisin’ into Christmas on Route 66”

MIAMI, Okla. — The Christmas season is upon us, and the most magical night of the year is set to roll through Downtown Miami on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. with the return of the Miami Christmas Parade—the largest in the region. This year’s theme, “Cruisin’ into Christmas on Rt. 66,” celebrates the magic of the holidays with a nostalgic nod to America’s most iconic highway—Route 66—as the region prepares to celebrate the road’s 100-year anniversary during 2026.

As Miami gears up for this milestone celebration, the parade will bring the spirit of the Mother Road to life. Floats, marching bands, dance groups, and costumed characters will transform Main Street into a joyful journey down the most famous highway in America. Expect to see creative tributes to classic Route 66 stops—retro diners, vintage gas stations, and much more!

“Every year, this event is a friendly, Christmas-spirited competition to be named the best of the best,” said Cindy Morris, President of the Miami Regional Chamber of Commerce. “We love seeing how our community comes together with creativity, nostalgia, and holiday cheer to make this one of Miami’s most beloved traditions.”

Entries will be judged in seven award categories: Holiday Spirit Award, Elfin Magic Award, Tin Soldier Award, Santa’s Choice, Santa’s Sleigh Award, Rudolph’s Award, and Silver Bells Award.

All participants are encouraged to reflect the theme – “Cruisin’ into Christmas on Rt. 66.”

There are two great ways to get involved—sponsor the event or enter the parade.

Registration is simple: visit www.miamiokchamber.com/events and click on the parade date (December 6) to access theme ideas, parade guidelines, and the registration form. Or contact the Chamber directly at 918-542-4481 or info@miamiokchamber.com to request information.

The early bird registration fee is $20 per entry and is due by Friday, November 21.

After that, the fee increases to $30 per entry beginning November 22, with the final deadline to register on December 1.
