JOPLIN AREA WEEKEND EVENTS

October 24, 2025

Ghostly Glades: Glowing Trails & Fairy Tales (6:00 AM – 8:30 PM)

• Location: Wildcat Park
• Details: Family-friendly magical hike through Wildcat trails. Groups of 15 depart every 10 minutes. Pre-registration required via wildcat website, Facebook, or https://bit.ly/GlowingTrails. Free, all ages welcome (children under 16 need an adult). Organized by Shoal Creek Conservation Education Center, Ozark Gateway Audubon Society, Chert Glades Master Naturalist, KCU students, and Wildcat Volunteers.

Old Fashioned Hay Bale Trail (6:00 PM – 9:00 PM)

• Location: Joplin
• Details: Seasonal celebration with decorated hay bales, family hayride, bounce houses, games, DJ, food, and drinks.

October 25, 2025

Ghostly Glades: Glowing Trails & Fairy Tales (4:30 PM)

• Location: Wildcat Park
• Details: Same as October 24 event, with a Saturday session starting at 4:30 PM.

Super Saturday: Monster Party (10:00 AM – 11:15 AM)

• Details: Child-led program for ages 2-5 with sensory activities, motor skills, and monster-themed crafts. Accompanying adults must stay engaged; no drop-offs allowed.

Joplin RV Camp-O-Ween (11:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

• Location: Joplin RV Indoor Showroom
• Details: Family-friendly event with decorated showroom, treats for kids, and no tricks.

Howl N Scream Trunk or Treat (2:00 PM – 4:00 PM)

• Location: Hosted by Joplin Humane Society, sponsored by Blue Buffalo/General Mills
• Details: Family and pet-friendly event with decorated trunks, candy, adoptable pets, and a costume contest (judging at 3:00 PM). Prizes for Best Human, Pet, and Group/Family Costumes. Dogs welcome on leashes. Adoption specials all day. Open to all.
