MoDOT to shut down thoroughfare in Nevada next week

The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) has plans to shut down a thoroughfare in Nevada for repairs next week.

The closure is to repair the pavement and add permanent striping on Route K between Johnson Drive and a point east of the northbound I-49 on- and off-ramps.

Westbound Route K traffic will be diverted to northbound I-49 at Exit 101 and U.S. Route 54 at Exit 102.

The northbound off-ramp and southbound on- and off-ramps for Exit 101 on I-49 will be closed for the duration of work.

Signs and message boards will alert drivers approaching the work zone, but there will be no signed detour.

There will be traffic delays, so drivers are encouraged to find alternate routes.

The closure starts on Wednesday, October 8th.
