Man from Springfield arrested on multiple charges

A man from Springfield was arrested by the Missouri State Highway Patrol on Tuesday afternoon.

52-year-old Johnny L. Vanzandt, Jr. was taken into custody on multiple charges. Those included:

1. Felony Failure to register as a Sex Offender
2. Two Misdemeanor Polk County Warrants for Failure to Appear (No Insurance and No Valid License)
3. Two Springfield Police Department Warrants for Failure to Appear (No Valid License and Expired Plates)
4. Christian County Warrant for Failure to Appear (Non-Support)
5. Driving While Suspended
6 No Insurance
7 Failure to Display Valid Plates

The charges are a mere accusation and not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.

Vanzandt is being held in the Greene County Jail in Springfield.
