Congressman Burlison discusses possible Government shutdown and the A-I race

Passing a clean CR by congress is actually spending less money than before.

Congressman Eric Burlison explained to KZRG how that works.

“The reason that a CR keeps us spending less money is because we have done the rescissions of the $9 billion in the cuts and then we did the, we did the withholdings of another $5 billion. You got at least $15 billion in spending reduction going into next year.”

Burlison went on to say, the Democrats want to add back spending that was cut by the rescissions bill and the big beautiful bill that was passed by Congress.  

That means a government shutdown is possible at the end of the month.

Artificial Intelligence is going to be revolutionary and it’s going to happen according to Missouri Congressman Eric Burlison.

“The question is, are we going to be in control of this or are we going to let China take control or another country dominate the United States? It’s extremely important that we are the nation that has the data centers that house these AI servers.” 

Burlison continued:  “It’s extremely important that we own the code, that we don’t end up in a situation like we did with TikTok, for example, where China has access to the data and they control the code. So this is why the United States needs to be a leader in artificial intelligence. Because at the end of the day, this is something that could dramatically change many of our lives.”
