Government Shutdown Looms. Here is how Missouri Politicians Voted.

(Missourinet) – A government shutdown could happen soon. Matt Pilger reports.
“The House has passed a Republican-led stopgap spending bill to keep the government funded through Nov. 21, with a vote of 217–212, mostly along party lines.
Missouri Republicans (Ann Wagner, Bob Onder, Mark Alford, Sam Graves, Jason Smith, Eric Burlison) voted in favor.
Missouri Democrats (Wesley Bell, Emanuel Cleaver) voted against.
But hours later, Senate Democrats blocked the measure in a 44–48 vote, putting the federal government on track for a shutdown by October 1st.
Both the House-passed GOP bill and a competing Democratic version are likely to fail, as neither is expected to reach the required 60-vote threshold.
Republican Senators Josh Hawley and Eric Schmitt support the GOP bill, consistent with their previous votes backing similar budget measures aligned with the Trump administration’s agenda. Matt Pilger. Missourinet.”
