Fall Festivals Return Across Missouri as Temperatures Cool

(Missourinet) – Fall festivals are gearing up across the Show-Me State, with events planned throughout October. Katie Blake with the Missouri Division of Tourism says the season’s milder temperatures make it an ideal time to enjoy outdoor celebrations.

“The trees start changing colors. People want to be outside and doing a lot of fun things. The Evolution Music Festival in St. Louis is just really awesome. Weston’s apple fest. You get all of the good apple butter and apple dumplings, but also if you are looking for the pumpkin side of things until late October, Shepherd Hills has pumpkins.”

A full list of fall festivals across the state can be found on the Missouri Division of Tourism’s website.

Blake says, however, they are really looking forward to an even busier 2026.

“We’ve got a lot of really big events coming up and you might have heard of some of them. FIFA World Cup is coming to Kansas City and then also the Route 66 Centennial anniversary. It’s happening in 2026. So, we’ve got a lot of attention on Missouri in 2026 from domestic travelers and international travelers.”

An estimated 650 thousand visitors are expected to travel to Kansas City for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
