Caravan of Hope Making Several Local Stops Highlighting Suicide Prevention Awareness

Someone takes their life every 11 minutes in the United States.
The director of crisis services at the Ozark Center, Debbie Fitzgerald told the KZRG Morning Newswatch, her goal is zero suicides:
“My job is not done until we get to zero. And what I want to share with people is that September is Suicide Awareness Month and it’s not to cause pain. We want to support those who are bereaved by someone who’s died by suicide, but we also want to help those that are struggling because to be human, it’s hard.”
Fitzgerald went on to say: “There’s lots of things that happen that sometimes we can control in our life and sometimes we can’t. And we just want people to know that there is support and that there is hope. At the end of the day, we know treatment works.”
