JATSO to host in-person open house on Metropolitan Transportation Plan
The Joplin Area Transportation Study Organization (JATSO) will host an in-person open house to share findings and gather feedback for updates to its Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP). Attendees will have the opportunity to review proposed updates, maps, ask questions, and provide input directly to project staff.
Public feedback will help shape final recommendations and ensure the plan reflects the needs and priorities of the region including Joplin, Webb City, Carl Junction, Oronogo, Duenweg, and Duquesne.

JATSO is the transportation planning agency for the Joplin metropolitan area, as designated by the federal government, and its goal is to provide for regional mobility. The MTP must be updated every five years and focuses on enhancing regional road safety, improving traffic flow, and supporting sustainable transportation options.

This public notice, public involvement activities, and time established for public review and comments on the UPWP will satisfy the FTA Section 5307 Program of Projects requirements for the Metro Area Public Transit System (MAPS).
