Mail vehicle burns in Joplin

One of those small U.S. mail vehicles caught fire near 24th and Florida Saturday morning.

The mail carrier, who was not injured, reportedly managed to save much of the mail that was on board.

No fire fighters who responded to the blaze were injured.

No cause is yet known for the blaze of the so-called “Long Life Vehicle.”
