Webb City celebrates opening of “W Club”

Webb City celebrated the opening of its brand new “W Club” in King Jack Park Monday afternoon.

The 17,000 square foot, $1.5 million facility is fully funded by the Dawson Heritage Foundation.

It will feature a full-size basketball court that can be divided for multiple activities, including basketball and volleyball leagues, pickleball, morning walkers, and private events.

Parks and Recreation Director Bryan Waggoner tells Newstalk KZRG it will also house the Parks and Rec office and be a complete community center.

“It opens a lot of doors,” said Waggoner. “We’ve never been able to have anything indoors in the winter…but now we have a facility to [host events in].”
