Cortez on progress of old Freeman Hospital being torn down

The tearing down of the old Freeman Hospital on west 20th continues.

Joplin Mayor Keenan Cortez told Newstalk KZRG:

“We got all the environmental remediation done. We got everything checked out. We’ve hired a firm that could safely pull it down and not disrupt those that are living, you know, those people that live next to live really close to it. So all that is happening now, it’s great. If you haven’t been by the site recently, go by, take a picture.  There’s a piece of Joplin history that’s coming down.
