Burlison happy I-44 widening projecting underway

Starting the week of July 21st, MODOT will start collecting core samples to widen I-44 from Joplin to Strafford. 

Southwest Missouri Congressman Eric Burlison told Newstalk KZRG he is happy work is starting.

“it’s awesome to see some expansion happening now. It’s not going to be throughout the entire district, but I’m going to continue to work to that effect. I mean, the goal is to add new lanes all the way from Joplin all the way to St. Louis. And so that’s one of my priorities, probably my top priority.”
