Could Missouri be a nuclear hub?

A nuclear summit was held Thursday at the University of Missouri in Columbia.

Newstalk KZRG asked Missouri Lt. Governor David Wasinger if he believed the state could become a nuclear hub.

“Again, there are a lot of positive things going on, particularly at the University of Missouri with nuclear.  I believe President Choi over at the University of Missouri is really on top of this and really pushing it. You know, we just provided quite a bit of funding through the state legislature for it, the federal government’s behind it. So, yeah, I think Missouri should be and could be at the cutting edge of this nuclear energy.”
