Motorcycle-pickup accident kills man from Pittsburg

A motorcyle rider from Pittsburg was killed in an accident on Missouri 43 about 5 miles north of Airport Drive.

It happened at 5:20 Thursday evening when a northbound Toyota Tundra driven by a 77-year old woman from Webb City was slowing for traffic.

The cyclist, also heading north, struck the Tundra from the rear.

29-year-old Christuffer Roeder was pronounced dead at a Joplin hospital a little before 11 p.m.

It was Missouri HIghway Patrol Troop D’s 64th fatality for 2025.
