Rear-end collision kills woman from Nevada

There was a fatal accident on Highway 43, about four miles north of Liberal in Vernon county at around 12:47 Friday afternoon.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report says a northbound 2021 Kia Optima driven by 68-year-old Janice D. Huston of Nevada smashed into the back of a northbound 2003 International Tractor Trailer driven by 25-year-old Joseph Clary of Bloomfield, Missouri.

Huston was pronounced dead at the scene.

Clary was not injured.
