Final patient from Super Bowl rally shooting released from Children’s Mercy

Some positive news came out of Kansas City’s Children’s Mercy Hospital today.

Kansas City media reported hospital officials as saying all patients in the hospital as a result of the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl parade and rally shooting on Wednesday have now been discharged.

As of Thursday, Children’s Mercy reportedly still had 11 juvenile patients after the shooting that killed one adult woman.

Nine of the patients were admitted with gunshot wounds and all were between the ages of 6 and 15.

All but one patient reportedly was discharged by Friday evening.

The final one left the healthcare facility today.

Several other adult patients remain hospitalized at University Health Truman Medical Center and St. Luke’s Health System.

One of the patients at University Health is reportedly in critical condition.

Three others – two at University Health and one at St. Luke’s – are reportedly in stable condition.

One adult woman was killed in the shooting.
