New Carthage Salvation Army Social Service Center to open

The Salvation Army will celebrate its new Social Service Center in Carthage this Friday.

The new Center is at 2307 Missouri Avenue in Carthage.

After the Carthage and Joplin Salvation Army congregations merged, the decision was made to look for a more suitable area to provide its services.

The new facility will hold an open house from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. this Friday.

There’ll be tours, foods, carnival games, silent auction and more.

The public is invited.
