30-year-old Brittany Jane Bowling, of Weir, has been sentenced to 6 months imprisonment in the Kansas Department of Corrections.
On March 16, 2023, Bowling was sentenced after pleading guilty in Cherokee County District Court to felony theft and fleeing law enforcement.
The sentence stems from an October 2021, incident where Cherokee County Sheriff’s Deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop on Bowling, who fled in a vehicle, which had previously been reported stolen out of Linn County, Kansas.
Following the pursuit, deputies executed a search warrant on Bowling’s Weir home where they recovered multiple stolen tools and construction equipment.
