Pittsburg man arrested after burglarizing business

A man from Pittsburg was arrested after a burglary at Horton’s Pizza Plus Monday morning in Pittsburg. Read the full press release below:

On Monday, December 7, 2020, at approximately 6:00 a.m., officers with the Pittsburg Police Department were dispatched to Hortons Pizza Plus, located at 1601 E. 4th Street, for a burglary that had occurred at the business. An employee had arrived at work and discovered a brick had been thrown through the front glass of the business. Police arrived to investigate and determined entry was made through the front glass and that property had been stolen from inside the business

A lead developed in this case just hours after the discovery of the crime. This lead resulted in the arrest of 26yearold Austin Wayne Fenimore, of Pittsburg, in connection to this incident. Fenimore was arrested without incident, and charged with burglary, and misdemeanor theft. He was transported to the Crawford County Jail where he was booked in and is currently being held in lieu of a $5,000 bond. Property stolen from Hortons Pizza Plus was recovered from Fenimores possession at the time of his arrest.
