Carthage AMBER Alert canceled after child found safe

The child is safe and a suspect is in custody. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says two-year-old Brexlee Greenlee was found safe just a couple hours after she was abducted from a home in Carthage.

An amber alert was issued Tuesday morning after police had reason to believe that Chelsea Greenlee was armed with a handgun and had specifically threatened to kill the child.

The alert has now been canceled.
