The 4th annual First Responder Halloween Bash going on tonight (Friday) from 5 to 8 PM at the Neosho Jr. High School. The family fun event is free and is open to community members as well as local businesses, organizations and area first responders. Enjoy candy, costumes, activities and meeting first responders.

Vision Carthage and downtown Carthage merchants hosting an early trick or treating event this afternoon (Friday) from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM. It takes place on the Carthage Square. Butterball donating hot dogs to eat and pumpkins for painting. The Carthage VFW Post 2590 will be grilling the hotdogs. Downtown businesses will be handing out delicious goodies to the kiddos. Grab your costumes, bring your friends and family this afternoon to the Carthage Square.

Saturday (October 31st) from 10 AM through 5 PM, Spiva Center for the Arts and Connect2Culture will hold a Trick or Treat event. You are invited to bring your little ghosts and goblins to the Cornell Complex at 7th and Joplin for free Halloween fun! Enter at the west entrance Welcome Desk, on the Wall Avenue entrance, where kids in costume will get a special treat. Then journey through Connect2Culture's Haunted Performance Hall, strike a pose at the photo booth, and spend time with Spiva making a spooky craft.

They are hosting it at their covered pavilion, at 122 Grant Street in Carthage. It is sort of near the Carthage Civil War museum and Pete's convenience store.
