NEOSHO, Mo. — A tractor-trailer was high-centered Monday morning where Twilight Lane meets North Business 49.

Video from the scene, shot about 10:30 a.m. Oct. 12, shows the rig trying to get onto the highway near 900 N. Business 49, on the north side of town.

The truck made it to the top of the hill. As the cab straightened out on the other side, the landing gear under the front of the trailer was too low for the crest. Those are the legs drivers call stilts or jacks. They started dragging, then caught on the high point of the pavement at the joint between the back of the truck and the front of the trailer. The combination was stuck on that pivot and could not pull through.
