Two Pittsburg women accused of selling fentanyl linked to a man's overdose death more than a year ago are now being held on $1 million bail.

43-year-old Talia Blick-Davis and 29-year-old Sophea Gonzalez were arrested Oct. 2 in connection with the death of 35-year-old Ross W. Pitts.

Pittsburg police began investigating after Pitts died Sept. 26, 2025.

Investigators said they determined early in the case that his death was believed to be the result of a drug overdose and that the controlled substances involved had allegedly been distributed within Pittsburg.

Court documents filed against Blick-Davis allege she distributed fentanyl in Crawford County on or about Sept. 20, 2025, and that Pitts died as a result of using the drug.
