How's absentee voting in Jasper County so far

Absentee voting in Missouri is underway.

Jasper County Clerk Charlie Davis tells KZRG week 1 results: "So within the first week, we have currently only had 74 people vote absentee, which is not abnormal, because what we kind of encourage people to do is to educate yourself on the candidates, educate yourself on the ballot measures that are on the back of the ballot."

Davis went on to say: "Make sure you know what you're going to vote for. So people have a tendency of doing that, making sure that they know exactly what they're going to vote for and how they're going to vote, so that way they come prepared."

No excuse absentee voting in Missouri starts October 20th.
