Former Neosho businessman gets more prison time after additional child porn arrest

A former Neosho businessman is headed back to federal prison for a year following a child sexual abuse material arrest.
U.S. District Judge Beth Phillips revoked the supervised release of 42-year-old Blake Michael Altman and sentenced him to one year in prison, followed by 10 years of supervised release.
Revocation proceedings began after Altman was arrested in January in Newton County on a Montgomery County, Texas warrant alleging promotion of child sexual abuse material.
Altman was still under federal supervision for an earlier child pornography conviction when he was arrested.
He pleaded guilty in 2017 to receiving and distributing child pornography over the internet. Investigators say Altman was identified during an undercover investigation involving peer-to-peer file-sharing software.
Phillips sentenced Altman in November 2017 to six years in federal prison followed by 10 years of supervised release. He was released in 2021.
This latest federal prison sentence stems from the violation of his supervised release and is separate from the criminal allegation filed in Texas.
