What's going on in the 4 states weekend of 09-25-26

The 29th annual Bluegrass Festival is Saturday, September 26th, at the Center Creek Park on the east side of Carl Junction. There will be a kid's area, food trucks, crafts, artists, beer & wine area and more. 6 bands will be providing live music starting at 9 AM and ending at 6 PM. Free admission and free general parking with shuttle services as well five dollar VIP Parking near the entrance. An average of over 15,000 persons attend each year.

"Laughing for All the Wrong Reasons Revue" with The Second City, happening Saturday, September 26th starting at 7 PM at the Beshore Performance Hall inside the Cornell Arts and Entertainment Complex, located at 7th and Wall in downtown Joplin. This show may contain adult or mature content and is for mature audiences only. The comedy - improv show tickets are priced at Fifty dollars plus fees.

The 2nd Annual Cruisin' for Canines: A Dog's Dream Festival & Car Show coming Saturday, September 26th at Neosho's VFW Post 4142 (1412 Waldo Hatler Drive) from 9 AM to 5 PM. The event is free to the viewing public. $40.00 Registration with check-in for car show from 9 to 11, judging at noon and awards being presented at 3 PM. All proceeds go to the mission of finding forever homes for retired breeding dogs.

Explore the early history of Black American movies (1910 - 1950) with this documentary focusing on trailblazer Oscar Micheaux, the "Dean of Black American film". At 56 minutes long, the movie "Midnight Ramble" will be showing Saturday and Sunday at 1 pm at the George Washington Carver National Monument just outside Diamond. Admission is free.
