Mizzou bars person from campus after remarks about killing over free speech

COLUMBIA, Mo. — The person who sparked controversy at Mizzou when they said that they supported people being killed over freedom of speech is not a student and has been barred from campus.
The university said the individual has been trespassed and the matter referred to the University of Missouri Police Department, Columbia Police Department and FBI.
ABC 17 News identified the person as Chloe Carter.
The exchange happened Wednesday during a Turning Point USA “Pick Up the Mic” event with Shane Winnings.
Video shows Carter discussing the First and Second Amendments before the conversation turned to Charlie Kirk.
Winnings asked whether Carter supported “people being killed for freedom of speech.”
“Yeah, absolutely,” Carter responded.
They are seen wearing the same shirt Kirk was wearing when he was assassinated.
Turning Point Mizzou initially described Carter as a student and called for expulsion before the university clarified Carter is not enrolled.
“We denounce any form of violence, and it is totally unacceptable to wish harm upon a person for exercising their First Amendment rights,” the university said.
The university has not said what possible criminal offense is under investigation.
