Drowning at Lake of the Ozarks

A man has drowned at the Lake of the Ozarks.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says it happened a little after 10:30 a.m. Wednesday when the man jumped from a deck into shallow water.

The 36-year-old St. Louis resident sustained a head injury and then drowned.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Patrol says he was not wearing a life jacket at the time of the incident.
