Main Street (12th to 13th Streets) to close Wednesday night for water line repair

Joplin’s Main Street between 12th and 13th Streets (Markwardt) will be closed the evening of Wednesday, Sept. 16, for a water line repair. 

The repair work, which is being contracted through Missouri American Water, will begin at 7 p.m. The work will be performed throughout the evening.

The street is anticipated to be reopened by Thursday morning, Sept. 17.

Main Street traffic will be diverted to side streets during this time.
